Trailer Rentals for Commercial Contractors in Middle Tennessee
Published: June 8, 2026 | Reading Time: 8 minutes
If you run a construction, remodeling, landscaping, or site-work crew in Middle Tennessee, owning every trailer you need ties up cash, insurance, and storage space you could be putting toward jobs. MudRock Rentals gives contractors commercial-grade dump, equipment, and material trailers by the day, the week, or the month — ready to work the moment you hook up.
Why Contractors Rent Instead of Buy
A new dump trailer or equipment gooseneck can run $12,000–$25,000 before tags, insurance, and maintenance. For a crew that needs heavy hauling on some jobs but not others, that capital sits idle between projects. Renting turns a fixed cost into a per-job expense you can bill straight to the work order.
- No maintenance overhead: tires, brakes, bearings, and lights are our problem, not yours.
- No storage or registration: pick it up when the job starts, bring it back when it ends.
- Right tool, right job: a 7-yard dump for demo week, a gooseneck for the skid steer, a cargo trailer for tools — without owning all three.
- Billable & deductible: rental cost is a clean line item you can pass through or write off.
The Contractor Fleet
Dump Trailer — 7'x14', 7 Cubic Yard
Our workhorse for demolition debris, dirt, gravel, asphalt millings, mulch, and roofing tear-off. Tandem 7,000 lb electric-brake axles, 14,000 lb GVWR, roughly 10,140 lb of payload, slide-out ramps for loading equipment, a spreader gate for gravel and mulch, plus a tarp kit and onboard charger. It dumps where a roll-off can't fit and goes home with you at night.
Dump Trailer Rates
14,000 lb GVWR • ~10,140 lb payload • tandem 7,000 lb brake axles • ramps, tarp kit & spreader gate included.
Equipment Goosenecks — 30' Deck
For hauling skid steers, mini excavators, scissor lifts, Bobcats, and tractors. Our Big Tex 16GN runs a 30' flat deck plus 5' flip-over mega ramps (about 35' of usable length), dual 7,000 lb axles, and a 17,500 lb GVWR. Need more spine? We also keep a heavier 30' gooseneck on dual 10,000 lb axles for serious iron.
Gooseneck Equipment Trailer Rates
30' deck + 5' mega ramps • 17,500 lb GVWR (heavier 10k-axle gooseneck also available) • dual drop-leg jacks.
Open Car & Equipment Haulers — MaxxD 20' & 24'
Lower-deck flatbeds that pull behind a 3/4-ton with a standard bumper hitch — ideal for a single machine, materials, or a work vehicle. The 24' carries up to a 14,000 lb GVWR.
Car / Equipment Hauler Rates
20' (7,000 lb) and 24' (14,000 lb GVWR) decks • 7.5' wide • bumper-pull.

How Renting Works for Crews
- Reserve by phone or online. Tell us the trailer, the dates, and the job site — we'll confirm availability.
- Pick up or get it delivered. Local delivery starts at $55 one-way around Murfreesboro and out to Smyrna, La Vergne, Nashville, and Franklin.
- Work the job. A $250 refundable deposit (credit card) and a valid driver's license are all you need at pickup.
- Return it. Bring it back broom-clean and the deposit hold is released after inspection.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Do you offer accounts for repeat commercial customers?
A: Yes. If you rent regularly, call us about streamlined repeat-customer booking so your crews aren't re-doing paperwork every job.
Q: Can you deliver to an active job site?
A: We deliver throughout Rutherford County and the greater Nashville metro. Give us the site address and gate details when you book.
Q: What truck do I need to pull the dump or gooseneck?
A: The dump trailer pulls comfortably behind a 3/4-ton with a 2-5/16" ball. The goosenecks require a gooseneck hitch in the bed of a 3/4- or 1-ton. Not sure? Call and we'll match the trailer to your truck.
Q: Can I keep a trailer longer if the job runs over?
A: Usually yes, subject to availability — just call before your return date so we can extend it and keep you legal and covered.
